Tom DeLong

Founder & President

Tom is a Founder and President of Hospitality Group Insights responsible for oversight of all services within the company. He is also involved with strategic growth and partner relationships with a wide-ranging network of industry professionals that provide support to our clients. Providing our customers with a result driven approach to our services, Tom leads the company to provide clients with a wide array of services and managed support programs to meet the client needs.

Previous to his arrival at Hospitality Group Insights Tom was Vice President of Food & Beverage for Suntex Marinas overseeing all aspects of the company’s food and beverage operations for approximately seven years. Tom was responsible for creation and implementation of the company-wide customer satisfaction program and several acquisitions during his time at the company. 

Prior to Suntex Marinas Tom was Vice President & General Manager of Marina Jack Restaurant Group which included four dynamic waterfront operations for a period of approximately 14 years. During his time at the company, provided oversight and management for the company which included three acquisitions during his time at the company. 

He began his career at Hyatt Hotels where he held several management positions of increasing responsibility at four different properties over an eight-year period in his final role at the company he served as Food & Beverage Director at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota. During his time at the company, he provided leadership in crucial roles within the properties.

Tom earned a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management at Ferris State University, located in Big Rapids, Michigan. While attending the university, Tom participated in leadership roles for many student organizations. Away from the office in his spare time, enjoys spending time with his family and enjoying the many outdoor activities that are available in Florida.
